Your Legacy, Our Future
NAMING OPPORTUNITIES
Honor your family, commemorate a loved one, and express your dedication to the preservation of our shared heritage.
The synagogue itself is housed in a historic building, originally constructed in 1915, which blends elements of Romanesque and Byzantine architectural styles. Over time, the community has made efforts to preserve and enhance the building's historic character while ensuring it meets the needs of a modern congregation.
Making a named gift is not only about preserving the building's beauty—it is about securing the future of Jewish life in Hoboken. For the generations who will pass through these doors or see their reflections in these windows, the names attached to them will serve as a reminder of the community’s collective strength, generosity, and continuity. This type of donation is a way to leave a personal mark on the synagogue’s history, ensuring that the light of Jewish tradition and community shines brightly for years to come.
Donations will go towards further investing in USH’s increased security needs, as well as supporting child and adult education programs.

Celebrate the heart of our community life by naming our new gathering space located inside the sanctuary’s top floor.
We will honor the synagogue's past serving presidents by dedicating this gathering space in their honor, recognizing the lasting impact their leadership has had on shaping the synagogue for generations. Their dedication and vision have built the foundation upon which we stand today. The room, which will bear the names of the donors, will serve as a gathering place for congregants—a space for community, reflection, and connection. This tribute ensures that we continue to honor the legacy of those who came before us as we build toward the future.
